Software for custom jewelry orders and commissions
What custom jewelry work needs from software
A bespoke piece is not a normal order. It starts as an enquiry, becomes a consultation, a design the client has to approve (sometimes after revisions), then production, a quality check and delivery or pickup. The software has to follow that journey and keep the client's details with it: ring size, metal and gemstone choices, consultation notes.

Which one fits
- You take bespoke commissions and want the whole job in one place: Jewelry Studio Manager. It logs each custom order from the first inquiry through design, client approval, production and delivery, keeps ring sizes, metal and gemstone records with the client, runs a consultation calendar with reminders, and sends a quote the client approves online.
- You only need custom order statuses and customer-facing lookup, in any trade: StatusPro or Orderline are cheaper starting points and have ratings from real merchants. We have no ratings yet.
- Your orders are complex, with purchase orders and several locations: Bevy OrderPilot is built around quote-to-fulfilment for custom orders.
- The main problem is collecting a deposit on a product page: Downpay. See deposits on custom jewelry orders.
- You run a retail counter with stock, repairs and accounting: Jewelry Studio Manager is not point-of-sale or inventory software and has no Xero or QuickBooks connection. Look at a jewelry POS system, and see our buyer's guide.

Questions
What is the best software for custom jewelry orders?
It depends on the trade you are in. For bespoke jewelry commissions that move through consultation, design approval and production, Jewelry Studio Manager is built for that job and starts at $9.99 a month. For general made-to-order shops, apps such as StatusPro or Orderline cost about the same and are not jewelry-specific.
Is there a free plan?
No. Jewelry Studio Manager has a 14-day free trial on every plan, then paid plans from $9.99 a month.
Does it work without Shopify?
Yes. You can sign up on the web at jewelrystudiomanager.com without a credit card to start the trial. Shopify customer sync and Shopify orders for deposits need the Shopify app.
Does it replace my POS or accounting software?
No. It is not a point-of-sale or inventory system and does not connect to Xero or QuickBooks.
