Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions about Jewelry Studio Manager.
Install from the Shopify App Store, or create an account on the web, then follow the setup wizard to set up your studio, location and currency, and workflow stages. It takes about 5 minutes, and you can resume it later from the dashboard.
Yes. If you use Shopify, open the app from Shopify Admin and press Sync All on its home page to import your existing customers; after that, new customers and orders arrive automatically. Clients kept anywhere else can be imported from a CSV file with Import Clients on the Clients page, or added one at a time.
Once installed, Jewelry Studio Manager registers Shopify webhooks so new customers and orders are created or updated in the studio as they happen, and each new order creates a commission. To bring in customers you already had, press Sync All on the app’s home page in Shopify Admin. The sync imports customers and orders into Jewelry Studio Manager; the service products you create in the app can be added to your Shopify store, and a finished commission can be turned into a Shopify draft order.
The client portal is a dedicated area where your clients can view their commission progress, approve designs or request changes, reschedule or cancel their consultations, download shared documents, and provide feedback. You can invite clients to the portal directly from their profile. They'll receive an email with a link to create their account. The portal is available on the Professional and Enterprise plans. Clients can access it on any device — desktop, tablet, or mobile.
Paid plans are subscribed through the Shopify App Store and billed by Shopify, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You manage the plan from the app’s plan page in Shopify Admin. Studios that already subscribe through our web billing (Stripe) continue to manage that subscription from Billing in the app. A standalone studio without a paid plan keeps working with limited access; its records are not deleted.
Yes, you can cancel at any time with no cancellation fees. Standalone subscriptions can be managed from account billing; Shopify subscriptions are managed in Shopify Admin. A standalone studio without a paid plan keeps working with limited access, and nothing is deleted. For an account export, closure, or erasure request, contact support before uninstalling or closing the account.
We use TLS in transit, secure HttpOnly authentication cookies, bcrypt password hashing, browser-origin checks for cookie-authenticated changes, and AES-256-GCM encryption for stored Shopify tokens and any optional third-party provider keys you configure. We also handle Shopify's required privacy webhooks and provide processes for privacy-rights requests. For scope and details, see our Privacy Policy.
Yes. Shopify-billed plans are changed from the app’s plan page in Shopify Admin, and web-billed subscriptions from the billing portal opened from Billing in the app. How an upgrade or downgrade is charged is shown by Shopify or our payment provider when you make the change. If you move to a plan without a feature you use, such as the client portal, your records are kept and the feature becomes available again when you move back up.
